Wedding bands - Soo Kee Jewellery

Thank you Geraldine for Soo Kee Jewellery who called in to offer a pair of their signature Brilliant Rose wedding bands! Here is a glimpse into the bands our couple will wear as a symbol of their eternal love for each other.



Soo Kee Jewellery is known for their special Brilliant Rose Diamonds - aptly named such because its patented 66 facets form a perfect rosette pattern when viewed under a Diamond scope. Each Brilliant Rose diamond comes inscribed at the girdle with an identification number as your proof of ownership and a mark of quality.

Wedding cake & Bridal suite - The Regent Singapore

Thank you to The Regent Singapore, a Four Seasons Hotel, for providing the wedding cake for the reception. We hear their chef is going to whip up something unique for our couple - not the traditional 3- or 4-tier marzipan cake with only one tier that's real for them to cut through! We heard they might even do mini cupcakes in chocolate and coffee (Khuan & Ling's favourite flavours)!

Lisa from The Regent Singapore wrote in to say:
"We were very moved when we first heard their story on air. The sacrifices that they both offered are very touching. It is something we thought you'd read from a novel or watch from a movie. But here you have a couple, so deeply in love, so devoted to each other. There and then, we knew we wanted to contribute and be part of their special day."

Because they were so touched by Khuan & Ling's story, The Regent Singapore has also kindly offered their bridal Four Seasons suite!

Wine - Bottles & Bottles

Thank you Mr Koh from Bottles & Bottles for providing the wine for the wedding!



Mr Koh has recommended full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with rich blackcurrant and tobacco flavours which will go great with the Peranakan red meat dishes that Catering Network is planning to have.

He also recommends having a zesty Chardonnay with its citrus and melon fruit flavours to complete the meal as it goes well with seafood and chicken dishes.

You may have seen Bottles & Bottles in Parkway Parade's basement, well it will be proudly opening its second outlet in VIVOcity.









Catering - Catering Network

Thank you to Anne from Catering Network for providing the catering services for the wedding!



Anne submitted online 3 times and even called us to make sure that she could help with the catering! Anne set up Catering Network 12 years ago and she says its been a lot of hard work but it's her passion to create magic out of nothing.

Catering Network has done creative catering for a whole host of events, even a wedding in the Singapore Art Museum's Glass Hall, and for government bodies for ministerial visits!

Not only does she prepare the most wonderful menu to suit the tastes of the bride & groom (and guests!), Anne will also look into the creative decor to make sure it suits the theme, the colours and floral decoration.

The people at FOX Hair are the ones behind the stunning magazine shoots and sophisticated TV presenters you see. These stylists are often asked for by name by celebrities!

Now they will be the ones to make Ling the most beautiful bride on her wedding day. Jeremy mentioned that he will conceptualise a look that will best suit a garden wedding. No doubt he will also have to take into consideration the colour and style of the gown that Ling will choose from Jazreel Collections.

Nail treatment - Nail Creations

Thank you Jackie from Nail Creations for providing a manicure and pedicure package for our bride Ling!



Jackie will be giving Ling a package that includes 5 manicures and 5 pedicures. She explained to us that it would be good for Ling to start now and do a session of both manicure and pedicure treatments every two weeks before the wedding to keep her nails in tip-top condition. She can even have one session with Khuan's (and soon-to-be her) daughter as a bonding session. And Jackie advises to save one session for after the wedding - just to relax after all that hustle and bustle of getting married!

Wedding invites - Card Blanche

Thank you Ferne & Allison from Card Blanche for providing beautiful customised wedding invites to our couple! Here are some cards they have done before.



Ferne told us that when Allison got married last year, they realised that most wedding card companies out there are printers and don't actually specialise in design. So with their 8 years of experience in advertising and design, they decided to start up Card Blanche to offer customised wedding stationery.

They provide personalised, unique contemporary designs that you won't be able to find in any other shop. You can even choose the design, colour, size, type of paper stock and even the fonts. You can even have a whole range of items from the invites to the programme, thank you cards, favour tags and menu all in the same design theme.

Our couple will be meeting up with them soon to decide on what kind of special & unique card they can help design for their wedding.

Gown/suit & Studio shoot - Jazreel Collections

Thank you Susan from Jazreel Collections for providing a wedding package for our couple that includes the gown and suit plus a studio photoshoot! Here are some of the services they provide.



Susan tells us that the gown will be couture, which means it will be made-to-measure to best fit the bride, which you won't get with off-the-rack pieces. This will call for an initial consultation, followed by a series of fittings, before the final gown is ready. Other than fit, there are other benefits to couture, such as how it opens a world of design, from the fabrics to colours and trims. It also boasts much better quality and workmanship than an off-the-rack gown, which can be sewn in one quarter the time of a couture one.

If you have ever asked yourself why women pay so much for a dress they will only wear once in their life, Maria McBride has the answer in her book The Wedding Dress. Apparently, while the tradition has always been for brides to wear white, over the years, brides around the world came to adorn a special dress on their wedding which is meant to be worn only once - as a hallmark of the significance of the event. That's what makes it special.

Venue & Bridal Spa Package - Aramsa Spa

Thank you Jazreel Low for helping with the venue by providing Aramsa Spa - her newest garden spa located in Bishan Park II. Here's an idea of how it looks.



Aramsa Garden Spa will also be providing a bridal spa package for our couple - their signature Tropical Java Lulur garden package, which is a traditional Javanese ritual that begins with an authentic turmeric scrub, followed by a cooling yoghurt mask. Then comes the firm Aramsa Touch massage, and it ends with an outdoor garden bath.



The experts at Aramsa tell us that it's best to have the wedding in the late afternoon or evening. Not only is it cooler, it also creates a more romantic atmosphere, both for the couple as they exchange their vows, and also for their guests to share in their happiness.
